I learn more about myself in my solitude at 3 am than I do at 3 pm with friends. A time for relaxation, the brain doesn’t work and I can see deep inside my soul, no homo.

Okay I have a confession to make. Normally I don’t care at all about relationships in movies. But the mermaid and the priest intrigue me and the freaking film makers left me hanging! The juxtaposition of the two coupled with their intense longing for each other made me fall for their relationship. (No homo). It defiantly helps that the mermaid is hot as eff.

Hellz yeah!

Prom

Every now and then it is necessary to take a step out of your comfort zone in order to pursue something you want. I for example was interested in taking a particular someone to Prom. Now be it we are good friends and I knew she probably wouldn’t deny my acquisition, but it didn’t make it any less scary. Thanks to all that helped put together this plan that blossomed from an idea put forward in a random conversation one day. Mr. Dally saved my ass and the Trumpets and Horns we baller. Plus she said yes! So now I don’t have to take Bryce, who was my back up incase all else failed. Today was a great day, aside from the cold….

Band

When the 8 year veterans were announced at Copley Symphony Hall when I was an 8th grader, I stated “that will be me in four years!”. Now that the time has come for my 7th and last performance at the Hall, I am filled with not only joy but also sadness. I met my goals, from being a wide-eyed 6th grader who almost wet my pants when I first saw the music they expected my to be able to play, to now, being a senior, experienced and ready. My time has come, my expiration date as a high schooler/kid is coming closer everyday. I rediscovered two things about myself this weekend. Both my love of music, and my confidence. The latter wasn’t ever in short supply. (But I did talk to my HBC!) The former found its way out of me not from the black and white pages, but from the bonds and connections formed with the people around me that allowed us to compile something great. As tomorrow’s concert draws closer, I realize that these years in MMHS, WMS and HES music programs have been worth all the frustration, stress and heartache. To the friends, enemies and all those in between, thanks for allowing me to make music with you! :D

Band

There have been some recent posts on tumblr that I have had to misfortune of reading. Some people may argue that tumblr allows for people to express themselves and allow for their friends to read and judge how they want, and there is nothing but positive from this. However my rebuttal to this is that some things should never be posted.

As a leader of any group there are certain responsibilities rightfully and unfairly bestowed upon the person. One of the main responsibilities is to maintain a solid image for our constituents to follow and emulate. This “magnifying glass” per say is more a burden than a blessing. It is our responsibility to follow the rules and play the game. I understand that I am not immune from accusations of treason, but these claims seem rather outlandish from my perspective. If there is a problem take it up with your higher authority, rather than hiding behind a computer screen.

This post is not meant to be malignant in any manner, but rather a wake up call to those who deem themselves leaders. If you are a leader it is your duty to speak well of your superior’s orders that have been passed down to you. Play the game that has been the norm over the past several years. Nothing has changed from the past year to this year. All I ask, as your President (we all know I hate to pull the “Over your head” card), is to be respectful of the situation you are presented and use it as a gut check rather than an assault on you as an individual.
